Advancing women’s empowerment in India with Yashoda AI

Abstract
This articles describes the more information
on Yashoda AI ("Your AI SAKHI") is an innovative program aimed at
closing the digital gender gap in India. Focusing on women in rural and
semi-urban regions, this initiative emphasizes the importance of AI literacy,
enhancing cyber security awareness, and encouraging safe online behaviors.
Through workshops, a multilingual mobile application, and community-based
training ("AI Sakhis"), the program provides participants with
essential skills to effectively use digital tools, safeguard against cyber
threats, and explore AI-related career paths. By empowering women from various
backgrounds, including SHG members, frontline workers, and students, Yashoda AI
promotes a "women-led development" strategy, in line with the
national objective of achieving a digitally inclusive Viksit Bharat.
