Socio-economic problems of marginalized sections of the society: Governmental approach in India

Abstract
The problem of marginalization of people in a society is not new, in the present era; it has acquired a place of much significance, especially in the context of globalization, adoption of new concepts of social development, and emergence of new conditions of sustenance of social injustice, and exclusion. Marginalization is the common issue of all the societies in the world. In every society, there is marginality in many forms. The concept of marginality is generally used to analyze socio-economic, political, and cultural spheres. Their problems can be related to homelessness, unemployment, poor access to social, health, and poor living conditions. This research paper mainly focuses on the socio-economic problems of marginalized sections of the society in India. In order to solve their problems, the marginalized sections of the society are making serious attempts to achieve the much needed empowerment. This study will be helpful for the government authorities and policy makers to understand the problem in the right perspective. Finding of the study shows Government generates are introduced in the form of projects, loans and grants, technical and financial assistance, providing pensions, and disability benefits for betterment their socio-economic life.
